[Mission Report] Key issues related to press freedom and media environment in Cambodia

Southeast Asian Press Alliance (SEAPA) conducted a dialogue mission to Cambodia from December 4-5, 2017. The mission comprises 12 members from SEAPA secretariat and SEAPA’s network from Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Timor Leste. During trip the mission met with government representatives, embassies, local and foreign journalists as well as media professional organizations.

Here, please find our findings which includes issues of concerns related to press freedom and media environment in Cambodia and recommendations to find a lasting solution to address thee concerns in lie with Cambodia’s rules of law and international agreements related to freedom of expression and freedom of press Cambodia are committed to.
